How many days should you allow?

The three-day group-joining itinerary travels from Nairobi to the Mara, allows a full day of game viewing, then returns to Nairobi. It is a short break, not three full days in the reserve. Compare the four-day Mara and Nakuru trip or a longer private circuit if you want another park; check how much of each day is spent on the road.

Shared, private or fly-in?

Group joining means sharing the vehicle and following a common itinerary. A private safari gives your party a dedicated vehicle and guide. The four-day Elewana Sandriver itinerary is the fly-in option in our catalogue. Check flight arrangements, baggage limits, transfers and accommodation with the team before choosing it.

Travel dates and wildlife expectations

Tell us whether your priority is wildlife photography, a family holiday or a particular wildlife event. Animal movements and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Ask for date-specific accommodation and entry costs, and allow flexibility if you are planning around the migration.

What should your Mara quote include?

Check the camp or lodge, room sharing, vehicle, meals, reserve entry and transfers. Reserve entry and neighbouring conservancy visits are not interchangeable. Ask which areas your itinerary covers and whether optional activities cost extra. Provide adult and child ages and residency details so the team can confirm the applicable charges.

Compare, then ask for your own quote
